State hearings are available for customers who do not
agree with decisions made about their benefits.
A state hearing is a meeting with the
customer, a representative from the Holmes County Department of
Job & Family Services and a hearing officer from the Ohio
Department of Job & Family Services.
Customers can explain why they disagree
with decisions made about their benefits.
Friends, witnesses and attorneys can
help customers present their cases.
The hearing officer listens to both
sides and gives a decision after reviewing the rules.
