 The following services are available to Holmes County Employers from the Holmes County Department of Job and Family Services. 

HCDJFS is a partner in the Employment and Training Connection (ETC) network.  ETC is dedicated to assisting any person, employer or organization to secure employment, share information, and maintain a stable workforce.  Our goal is to fulfill our brand promise “Everybody Works” by preparing the job seeker like no other employment resource.  ETC has offices in Ashland, Holmes and Wayne Counties.

•   Recruiting & Hiring Assistance

ETC can place your employment needs on our statewide SCOTI system and the cumbersome selection process  will be brought to a minimum as you set the qualifications and we refer based on your request

•   Interview Space                     

ETC can offer application processing and interview space allowing you to speak with each candidate privately;

•   On the Job Training Program

ETC can meet the needs of the employer by offering reimbursement of training wages for newly hired employees up to 50% during their training period;

•   Internship Program            

ETC can offer incentive to employers for giving a job seeker an opportunity to prove his/her skills and work ethic by subsidizing an individuals wages for an agreed period of time;

•   Customized Training Program

ETC offers customized training programs for new and existing workforce by offering group training sessions whereby we split the cost of the training

•   Incumbent  Worker Training

ETC offers financial assistance for training of your existing workforce assisting with upgrade in product or skills of an individual employee.  ETC also offers education and training resources, up-to-date information on the labor market and employment trends, and information on available tax credits;

•   Follow up & Retention          

ETC believes that follow up with both the Employer and Employee is very beneficial to providing ongoing quality service;  ETC also offers services to your new and existing workforce by assisting with the purchase of work clothing, car repairs, transportation, childcare and more;

•   Aversion & Diversion Services

ETC can offer access and referral to State and Federal assistance programs in an effort to avoid the need for downsizing and or plant closing. If a closing or downsizing is inevitable, we want to offer on-site information and assistance for unemployment services, re-employment, re-training opportunities and job searching assistance for your workforce.
